Join us for an embroidery course like no other . . .

Embroidery, in some form or another, has existed across all cultures for tens of thousands of years.

In fact, the basic tools needed to embroider (needle and thread) played an underappreciated role in the advancement of human society. Without needle and thread we would never have made clothes or shelter to protect us from the elements or learned how to stitch up a wound.

Relatively cheap and easy to come by (even in labor camps), embroidery has been a form of creative and self-expression for everyone who has ever threaded a needle and picked up a piece of cloth.

Embroidered stitches have held hopes, wishes and whispered blessings within each stitch. Sometimes, embroidery has even become a secret language among women when literacy, oppression or extreme grief won't let them communicate any other way.

Embroidery, needle and thread hold a lot of feminist and ancestral history and wisdom and that's why I'm excited to present the Magical and Talismanic Embroidery course.

In Magical and Talismanic Embroidery You'll Receive . . .

  • A whole new way of thinking about your embroidery

  • New layers of meaning to add to embroidered gifts

  • New levels of service to add to embroidery commissions

  • A new skill, hobby or obsession

  • The secret of knot magic and whisper magic

  • And more! There's always more

You'll Learn

  • Symbolism

For your final project you'll choose between an elephant, a hand and a flaming heart-- but first you'll learn the symbolism and talismanic power of each

  • Feminist History

Discover how women have used embroidery to express emotions and send secret messages . . . and how women today are using embroidery as a feminist rallying cry

  • Folk Magic

In addition to symbolism and talismanic objects, learn how to imbue your embroidery intention and incantations using knot magic, the four elements and whisper magic

  • Stitch Library

The course includes a stitch library featuring video tutorials of 16 different stitches . . . and challenges you to use each stitch in your final project

  • Final Project

We'll walk you through all the components you'll need to complete your final project-- from the most basic supplies through to the final magical touches

  • Bonuses

Plus, enjoy two bonus sections on inspiration and organization! A surprise third bonus is coming soon!

Is This Course For Experts Or Beginners?

It's for both.

This course will teach experienced and new embroiders alike how to add magic and ritual to their projects. There's also an extensive stitch library for less-experienced embroiderers to refer to and to learn a few basic stitches.

Create Your Own Final Project

We take the guess work out and tell you exactly what to embroider for your first magical and talismanic embroidery project . . . well sort of. What we actually do is give you three different projects and let you choose the one you'd like to complete.

In this iteration of the course (yep! it could change!) we're working with the symbolism of the elephant, the flaming heart and/or the healing hand. Choose the design that appeals most to you and then follow the instructions, refer to the library of embroidery stitch tutorials included in the course, and create your first talismanic piece!
